1 Now

Now we’re not in the Tribulation but we are in a sad state of compromise as Christians today because the Babylonian system that the Antichrist is going to exploit for his purposes is alive and well. It is this system that has captured the media the motion picture industry and conventional television. It is the Babylonian system that has harnessed the resources of big tech. All of these are going to be the extensions of the force, the crippling force that coerces compliance and worship on the part of the Antichrist.

This Babylonian system that the Antichrist is going to use, I believe is the leftward Liberal European system. I believe it is going to be Liberalism mixed with a socialist Marxist authoritarianism that has a rigid intolerance against anyone who does not agree with its terms. I believe this Babylonian system that the Antichrist is going to use is the system that has captured the public education establishment in America, it has harnessed the resources of public education by filling the curriculum with its insidious lies and deception and capturing these left-leaning socialist teachers’ unions as tools for carrying out the indoctrination of our children into the Babylonian cult of rebellion against God and His Word. It is the system whose enforcement arm is unyielding now through canceled culture and the crushing into oblivion of anyone who dares to defy its mandates and this Babylonian system, dear people listening to me tonight has invaded the churches.

And what you’re seeing is all of it is being exposed now but this is why we’ve got to realize that as a church preaches the true gospel and preaches the verses of Scripture unadulterated in the face of the drift towards this Antichrist system, those are not going to be popular churches that are packed out, running multiple, multiple services these are going to be churches that not a whole lot of people are clamoring to attend. And this is why God says to those who would be saved just before Christ comes at the end of the Tribulation, He is saying to those just before the rapture of the church,

2 “Come out of the Babylonian system

“Come out of the Babylonian system, separate yourself.”

And if you’re reading this and you go to some liberal church, it waters down the Bible and you can go to a church where you don’t even need a Bible and your pastor doesn’t exposit the Word of God where you go you need to think hard about where you go to church.

I’m telling you, these are the days that require a clarion call of the Word of God, no tiptoeing, no playing around, that won’t cut it. Babylon has re-emerged and the Antichrist is waiting to jump on the back of the Babylonian horse and grab the reins, and capture the world through watered-down religion and through political, cultural, and economic hegemony that coerces people into the system and marginalizes those who refuse to bow down.

The next verse says, “Her sins,” and verse five, “have reached to heaven and God has remembered her iniquities.” Now that’s the New King James, where it says “The sins of the Babylonian system have reached unto heaven.” But the New American Standard translates that Greek word, “Her sins have piled up as high as heaven and God has remembered her offenses.” All of this is the Babylonian system. Now that the Greek word that has been translated her sins have reached heaven, the New American says, “Have been piled up to heaven.” That is a word that means piling on top of one another which is what happens when bricks are laid on top of one another in construction.

3 There’s no coincidence

There’s no coincidence or accident here, that that’s the word that is used. Her sins had been stacked on top of each other toward heaven, and guess what happened? This is the end times of Tribulation Babylon, figuratively speaking where was Babylon born?

All the way back in Genesis 11 with the Tower of Babel. And in Genesis 11, it says, “They had brick for stone and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, ‘Come let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens.'”

4 And so Revelation 18:5

And so Revelation 18:5 talks about sins being piled up like bricks, that’s exactly what they were doing in ancient Babel they were piling bricks to build this tower as a symbol of a human-based religion and government merged in defiance of Almighty God.

The imagery here takes you back to the Tower of Babel and just like those stacked-up bricks that offended the Holy God in Genesis 11, the stacked-up bricks of sin, rebellion, blasphemy, and the murder of Jews and Christians by the Antichrist the sins of that whole system that were working at the disposal of the Antichrist these things have been a stench to God. And what is going to happen to the Babylonian system that is already intact today? Simply put, she’s going down, she’s going down.

Verse eight says, “Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine and she will be utterly burned with fire for strong is the Lord, God who judges her.” So it’s going to happen. Verse nine, “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep.” Guess what, that’s the political establishment of the Antichrist, so the political establishment, the community of nations under the rule of the Antichrist they are going to watch that system imploding. And it says here they’re going to weep because they were enriched through pledging their nation’s resources to the Antichrist and his Babylonian cult.

Amazing, then verse number 11, “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her for no one buys their merchandise anymore.” That’s the economic system of the Antichrist.

So in the same way that the political system weeps because the kings of the earth see what we had pledged our resources toward is falling in on itself, so the merchants this represents this economic collapse of the world economy and they’re going to mourn because it’s going to mean all of their riches dry up overnight. And in verse 19, it says, “They threw dust on their heads. They cried out weeping and wailing and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth!

5 For in one hour, she is made desolate.

She is a figurative pronoun referring to the system of Babylon, the system of the Antichrist. Remember, the harlot was a feminine reference to the religious system, she, religious Babylon. Now we’re talking about her, the political system of Babylon, the political kingdom of the Antichrist the downfall is going to create shock and grief, that’s what it said, they threw dust on their heads and they started weeping, everyone who benefited from her they’re going to see it implode just before Christ returns.

The downfall will be sudden because of the reference to one hour, in one hour, she will fall, it’s mentioned in verse 10, verse 17, verse 19, meaning it’s going to be sudden then the downfall is going to be evident in the capital city, we’ve already made reference to that but the reference to the city or that great city, the capital of the Antichrist, it’s mentioned in verse 10, verse 16, verse 18, verse 19, verse 21 that lets you know, no one will have any doubt as to whether the capital city of the Antichrist will have fallen. And then I want you to think about this with me. It is very clear when we interpret this that the downfall will mean an immediate crippling of the economic system of the world. It refers to the ships of the sea which I believe in our day and time since in antiquity and in Revelation, sea refers to that which connects all the continents and peoples of the world, the fact that the merchants and sailors of the sea, this is referring to some system of commerce that is worldwide and global.

I happen to believe that what is being referred to in chapter 18 is the virtual economy of online commerce, the interconnectedness of the global economy through the World Wide Web. And I also believe this will include what will by this time be no more, paper currency but virtual currency, which we are already seeing emerge, Bitcoin, and concepts such as that.

6 In other words

In other words, imagine what happens in your house when your internet goes down a couple of times, you can’t do anything.You can’t send emails, you can’t go on the web you can’t communicate with one another, even in the building or outside, we know how interconnected we are. If you can imagine that by the time the Antichrist has established his one world government and something happens that completely disables the world wide web on which all of the world’s combined economic power rests and depends and it all is, it all implodes through a judgment of God this damnation is realized by everyone in the system who pledged their lives to it, they realize we have lost it all and then Christ comes back and it’s too late at that point.

In verse 20, this proclamation is made “Rejoice over her, O heaven and you holy apostles and prophets for God have avenged you on her.”

So this means Babylon, religious fallen Babylon, political fallen, the religious arm of the Antichrist power, fallen the political arm of the Antichrist power, fallen imploding, falling in on itself as God’s judgment just before Christ comes and breathes fire on all of the Antichrist and the armies who will have assembled in the Holy Land against Israel. It’s all coming down, a couple of days ago I happened to see in my newsfeed a headline from the New York Post it’s in a lot of media outlets as well, it said, “Human remains found inside crocodile amid search for missing fishermen.”

And it tells the tragic story of a man in Queensland, Australia, 69-year-old, Andrew Heard, a search ensued for Mr. Heard once his wife reported that he never came back from a fishing trip and officials were able to spot his abandoned boat in a creek. And the article reads, “Members of the Department of Environment and Science later caught two crocodiles near the boat’s location as part of the probe, and they euthanized the crocodiles on Saturday. One of the crocs measuring 14 feet long contained human remains.” Now, sadly, I lived in Florida for 15 years before moving to Atlanta and there are similar stories such as this one that is just two days old but isn’t it amazing that a crocodile can be euthanized, and once opened the remains of the missing man are found confirming what happened to the man.

7 The reason that I’m sharing that illustration

The reason that I’m sharing that illustration with you is that it’s as if in the last verse of this chapter, Babylon is judged by God and killed, but an autopsy is performed on her body. In verse 24, it says, “And in her was found the blood of God’s prophets and saints and of all who had been slain on the earth.”

You see, what was found inside the Babylonian system were the remains of all of those who stood for God and were true to the Lord who had trusted in Him and stood for Him during the Tribulation and did not take the mark on their hand or their forehead did not compromise with the Babylonian system and the result was death and when the autopsy was performed, it says inside of her were found the remains but that’s only figurative, and because we know they weren’t really inside the Babylonian system and the Babylonian system did not devour them and ingest them, the Babylonian system that assaulted them All the Babylonian system and even killed them during the Tribulation.

8 All the Babylonian system

All the Babylonian system and the Antichrist did was to fast-track their entrance into heaven. And so I want you to understand that when we look at all that’s happening around us today I see things moving quickly towards these end-time scenarios but I am not dismayed, I’m not losing heart I’m greatly encouraged today because these are exciting times to preach messages like this, and for our church to stand out as a true and faithful representation of the Bride of Christ in an age of compromise.
